Bios - Deutsch - Jelena Kuljic - Gesang, Kalle Kalima - Gitarre, Frank Möbus - Gitarre, Christian Lillinger Schlagzeug

Jelena Kuljic (g.1976) studierte Jazz-Gesang am Jazz-Institut Berlin. Neben ihrer Band Yelena K & The Love Trio (Double Moon Records) hat sie noch einige unterschiedliche Projekte iniziert, wie Y Move (Minor Music 2006) oder Fasil (ECM 2009). Sie arbeitete in verschiedenen musikalischen Theaterproduktionen mit. Zuletzt war sie zu sehen in Wozzeck (R:D. Marton, Volksbühne, Berlin), Das wohltemperierte Klavier (Schaubühne, Berlin), Harmonia Caelestis (Burg Theater), The Black Rider (Theater Basel) und The Nature of Crisis (DorkyPark).

Kalle Kalima (g. 1973) ist einer der interessantesten finnischen Vertretern der europäischen Jazz-Szene. Er hat ein Trio Klima Kalima mit Oliver Potratz, (Bs) und Oliver Steidle, (Drs). Die Band wann den „Neuen Deutschen Jazzpreis 2008“. Zusammen mit Chris Dahlgren (Bs, USA) und Eric Schäfer (Drs) hat Kalle das Trio Johnny La Marama. Kalima hat gespielt mit Musikern wie Jim Black, Greg Cohen, Tony Allen, Anthony Braxton, Marc Ducret, Leo Smith und Tomasz Stanko.

Christian Lillinger (g.1984) studierte von 2000 bis 2004 an der Hochschule für Musik in Dresden bei Günter Sommer. Lillinger spielt im Trio Hyperactive Kid mit dem Saxophonisten Philipp Gropper und dem Gitarristen Ronny Graupe. Daneben arbeitet Lillinger mit bekannten Musikern wie Rolf Kühn, Joachim Kühn, Rudi Mahall, Ernst-Ludwig Petrowsky, John Schröder, Barre Phillips, Wadada Leo Smith, Alexander von Schlippenbach und Axel Dörner.

Frank Möbus (Gtr) studierte Gitarre und Komposition am Berklee College of Music, Boston und gilt heute als einer der wichtigsten Jazzgitarristen Europas. Er leitet die Gruppe Der Rote Bereich (ACT, Intakt) und ist festes Mitglied der Formationen Carlos Bica „Azul“ (Enja / Clean Feet Records), Erdmann/Rohrer Quartett (Intakt Records) ua. Er arbeitete mit sehr vielen weltberühmten Künstlern: Ray Anderson, Kenny Wheeler, Jim Black, Louis Sclavis, Maria Joao, Anthony Cox, Chris Speed, John Hollenbeck uva. Frank ist Professor für Jazzgitarre an den Musikhochschulen in Weimar und in Luzern.

KUU! BIOS Jelena Kuljic - Vocals, Kalle Kalima - Guitar, Frank Möbus - Guitar, Christian Lillinger Drums

Along with her own band, Yelena K & The Love Trio, Jelena Kuljic has been a featured guest in many music projects, such as Y Move (MinorMusic) and Fasil (ECM). As a singer and actress she has worked extensively with the prominent directors, David Marton and Constanza Macras. Some of their productions have included such important theaters as Vienna’s Burg Theater, Volksbuehne Berlin, Schaubühne, Thalia Theatre Hamburg,The Royal Theater of Copenhagen, etc. 

Kalle Kalima has released albums with his group Klima Kalima and with the group Johnny La Marama. He has worked with many musicians, such as trumpet player Tomasz Stanko, sax player Anthony Braxton, and bass players Sirone and Greg Cohen, guitarist Marc Ducret, composer Simon Stockhausen, drummer Tony Allen and singer Linda Sharrock. He is also playing with Jimi Tenor, Finnish underground pop star. 

Frank Möbus is leading the group Der Rote Bereich (ACT, Intakt) and is a member ofCarlos Bica Azul (Enja, Clean Feed), Erdmann/Rohrer 4tett (Intakt), Raw Vision (Unit Records) and Wiesendanger/Möbus/Hemingway. He has worked with Ray Anderson, Kenny Wheeler, Louis Sclavis, Mark Helias, Chris Speed, Han Bennink, John Davis, Kevin Coyne, etc. Since 2006 he has been working as a producer for several artists. 

Christian Lillinger plays in the Trio Hyperactive Kid. He is leading the group GRUND, which has released 2 albums on the Clean Feed label. 2013 he became the Composition Grant from the city of Berlin. He has worked with Joachim Kühn, Beat Furrer, Zeitkratzer, John Tchicai, David Liebmann, Joe Lovano, Miroslav Vitous, Tony Malaby and others.
